Lucas González holds a PhD in political science at the University of Notre Dame. He is researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín and at the Universidad Católica Argentina. He was a postdoctoral visiting fellow at Brown University and a visiting professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; the Australian National University, Australia, the Instituto de Estudos Sociais e Políticos, Brazil; Eurac Research, Italy; Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, among others. He published his book with Routledge and wrote articles in The Journal of Politics, World Development, Comparative Politics, Studies in Comparative International Development, Latin American Research Review, Latin American Politics and Society, among others. He is part of the LoGov research project and his current research interests are subnational inequality and state capacity, and the local impact of lithium extraction and the transition to the green economy.
